Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris

Spread the love

Stars: *****

This is the first David Sedaris book I’ve read although I’m planning on reading his other ones. Humour is one of my favourite genres of books. I love Robert Fulgham and enjoy Erma Bombeck, Bill Cosby and Al Roker’s books too. I have one of Tim Allen’s books on my TBR shelf too.

Sedaris is quite funny, his interests are very much unlike the majority of people. You could almost call this a biography of sorts as it covers his life from childhood to middle-age with tons of funny stories in between. From speech therapy in grade school to art school to Paris, David’s life is full of embarassing stories and hilarious misunderstandings.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read his other ones.
