This book was read for the Celebrate the Author challenge back in January but I had misplaced my review until now.
If you have small children you may have seen the show Timothy Goes to School. Yoko is a character in that show but this book was out first I believe. Yoko is a Japanese cat.
This story is a great introduction to origami paper cranes and Japanese culture in general and would be a loved book by those who like the show. I do believe this story was made into an episode as well.
