Just Ella by Margaret Peterson Haddix

This book was read for the Once Upon a Time challenge.

This is the story of what happened after Cinderella became engaged to Prince Charming. It shows that happy endings aren’t always happy. Although the story of Cinderalla is a young girl’s favourite and young girls like to fantasize about princes and marriage but when you get older, it’s good to know that real life isn’t really like that.

As it turns out, Prince Charming is more like Prince Boring and Ella (aka Princess Cynthiana Eleanora) finds it very hard to adjust to life as a Princess where everything is done for her by servants, and everything she would normally say or do is considered wrong for a Princess to do.
I found this story very fun to read and more realistic. Recommended for Ages 11 and up.
