Baa, Baa, Black Sheep: and Other Rhymes by Tomie DePaola

Spread the love

Stars: ***This book was read for the Celebrate the Author Challenge for September. This is a small board book for toddlers that contains the following rhymes: Baa, Baa, Black Sheep, Jack and Jill, Little Miss Muffet and Hey, Diddle, Diddle. The illustrations are classic DePaola and are attractive to look at. There is nothing wrong with the book, but a small board book with a handful of nursery rhymes just can’t really get more than 3 stars. I would have liked to have read more by Tomie DePaola for this challenge but this was the ONLY book my entire library system (city-wide) had. Isn’t that sad?
