A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

Spread the love

Stars: *****

NOTE: When I type in the ISBN of the copy I have I get this picture but it’s NOT what mine looks like. I guess it doesn’t really matter though.

This is a re-read for me. I first read it about 3 years ago and I read it every Christmas Eve. I’ve just never reviewed it on my blog. It counts towards the Classics Challenge, Winter Holiday Reading Challenge and Read it Again Challenge.

It’s really hard to review a classic as they’ve been read and reviewed by many people.

While looking at reviews of it on Good Reads someone said that while it’s a good story, there was no point in reading the book if you’ve seen the movie as it’s like reading the script. This is true but that’s one thing I love about it. It’s so easy to visualize it while I’m reading it when I’ve already seen it. (Did you get that?)

It’s such a good storyline, a good way to teach that money isn’t everything. It’s really hard to say more than that.
