Do Something Beautiful

This book was unusual in that it isn’t written like most books. Every chapter something new is introduced but than that concept is tied back in to the ones before it. Words such as beauty, righteousness, bounty, embrace and sacrifice are discussed.

Honestly the beginning was a bit slower than the last half of the book but overall it was a good read and it gave me lots to think about.  I especially liked the stories from the author’s life, especially the story of his daughter Gabby and how God brought her to his life, it’s an amazing story.

If you want to read more about evangelism and how you can make a difference by sharing Jesus with others and treating others as Jesus would have, then you want to read this book. That’s what it’s mostly about.

The book was full of great quotes too but my favourite is:

“Worship is the right response to beauty. The proper response to all beauty is to worship the source of the beauty, not the sub-expressions of beauty. We shouldn’t worship the sun, but the source of the sun’s fire. We shouldn’t worship the snow, but He who spun it into being.” – pg 88-89
