Real Talk: Navigating Critical Decisions in College and Beyond
This little book is packed full of advice on college, jobs, relationships and even investments. It is designed for the highschool senior or graduate who is making future decisions for themselves. It is written in the USA (I believe) and so some of the chapters don’t quite apply for me here in Canada. However most of the book works for any Western country at least.
Topics include but are not limited to: Choosing Your Major, Picking a College, Student Loans, Roommates, Relationships, Internships, First Job, Retirement Benefits, Insurance, Credit Cards, Finding a Spouse, Mental Well-Being and Entrepreneurship.
While I wasn’t necessarily sure I agreed with all the advice, I have to admit I did not go to college/university or get a good paying job so what do I know. I think it’s definitely worth reading for the intended age group.
